Wine Profile

Tasting Notes The 2012 vintage of Viognier shows a delicate straw color reminiscent of California golden hills. Aromatic waves of citrus and stone fruits like peach and ripe apricot blend together for the seductive nose. On the palate, lemon peel and lime show through creating a wonderful sensation, perfect for warmer days ahead. The wine is balanced with the richness in aroma and palate fruit and is enhanced by its crisp natural acidity and minerality.
Vineyard Notes The Viognier blocks at the estate ribbon the top of the north ridge of the amphitheater shaped vineyard creating the 'rim' to the bowl. With beautiful midday sun and afternoon shade, this is the ideal spot for Viognier. The fruit is perfectly ripened and shows elegance in the influence of acidity, minerality and fruit and the resulting wine tastes much like the fruit does the day it is harvested.
